Underwear for a sensitive child?

My son is extremely sensitive to tactile stimulation and lately he has been having issues with his underwear. He wears briefs and only briefs. He refuses to wear anything else or even go without- we have tried it all. So I am looking for a solution because he gets really angry and punches himself in the crotch and claims that he hates his penis. It breaks my heart and I just want him to be comfortable. Do they make underwear with no front flap for boys? I can't find any online. Please help!

Darn it, they don't have those sports briefs for little kids! They would have been perfect. The plain panty idea is good, too but I would hate for someone to catch a glimpse at the top of his pants or something and make fun of him.

Have you tried the sports briefs? They have no seam in the front, its flat.
