Swollen hand around the palm/thumb/wrist area after fall?
Playing soccer last night and fell on my hand. Got sore after a few minutes and swelled up around the palm and thumb and the wrist joints are sore although not really swollen. It's not really black and blue so it's not fractured, I would have known about it straight away if it was.
Finding it hard to grip/lift things and typing is quite difficult. Wondering what is the best sort of remedy to fix this. Thinking getting one of those support bandages or something? Swelling has gone down a bit this morning, but very sore to move thumb or wrist
Plus I don't have money to go to the ER/A & E and I don't wanna wait around for 6 hours to get an x-ray. I've gone with broken fingers before and all they do is tell you "your fingers are broken" and tie them together. I can do that at home myself!
You need an x-ray for swollen injuries i hope you used cold compression! Goto to seek medical advice immediately!
